Is it wrong for me to say that after I graduate college I’m dreading getting a big girl job bc I feel like I’ve never felt freedom? Like I’ll work at Starbucks for a few years to make ends meet idgaf. I feel like once I do my like “adolescence” is done

Like there no more time to enjoy being in my 20’s or make up for lost time for being Robbed of experiences in my childhood and college years. Like once I get it my life will forever be cemented into a different path

I found a job with a really small company that’s flexible with me so if I need/want to be gone I can be gone without PTO and all that. I’m hoping in a few years my next job can be hybrid so I don’t have to be in the office all day everyday. On one hand the stability and routine is nice but it’s hard being stripped of the ability to do whatever during the day because you’re in the office. It’s hard to not live life waiting for the weekend.

The financial freedom is worth the lack of time freedom imo. I’ve never felt more free

I def recommend not jumping into corporate mode immediately if you can help it. I had to because I didn’t have a choice, but if I did then I’d be working somewhere with flexible hours so I’m not only home in the evenings and on the weekends

How did you find the smaller companies I feel like they don’t really post applications

Honestly I didn’t find it on my own, I made connections at my school and then one of my school connections put in a good word for me and told me to go give them my resume and I got an interview😭

That’s how I feel and that’s why I left for a bit, I may not be rich in money but I’m rich in memories and experiences

Yeah that’s how I feel. Especially since I’m leaning to education. I have money rn (I’ll be renting soon hopefully) but like compared to most 20 something year olds if my life flashed before my eyes the grim reaper would probably be like “damn. That’s boring” and send my ass back
