Working with children with disabilities because sometimes the kid will attack you and their parents will be like “what did you do?” “Well did you get down on his level because he does not like that” or they don’t want their kid to feel singled out. wtf?

my least favorite thing about working in education is the parents. i’d love it so much more if i didn’t have to worry about getting interrogated or yelled at by parents who have no idea what they’re talking abt

No I’m a part-time para/aide. One of my best friends is an RBT though and she absolutely loves it! Sometimes kids with disabilities just have bad days and honestly 99% of the parents we both work with are pretty awesome but I think with any kid there’s always those parents that don’t believe their baby can do wrong. Good luck with becoming an RBT!

I’m going to school to be a teacher as well and my cooperating teacher always says that’s the worst part and it becomes obvious which kids have those kind of parents and it’s obvious now as an aide
