I hate that there is a narrative in the gym community specifically that you can just simply reverse PCOS by eating, healthy and exercising. It’s literally a medical condition and it’s not a medical condition like type two diabetes which that is brought on by poor eating and exercise. It is literally cysts on your uterus that is not something that 15 hours in a fucking gym a day is going to fix.
Did you even read my comment? My doctor helped me figure out the deficit i would need to be in and I would need to have a max of 300 calories a day. That isn’t sustainable. I keep myself accountable, I take the meds I need and I work out regularly and I eat incredibly healthy, my body just physically can’t lose weight. My doctor (a pcos specialist) said I have one of the worst cases he’s ever seen. Fuck right off.
I don’t see a comment about the doctor thing so I have no idea what you’re talking about. There’s no need to be rude when I didn’t understand all of that. Your original comment is about a man and that’s what I was responding to as well as the anorexia comment that I saw. I mean if you want to be rude that’s fine. If it helps you feel better. Have a nice rest of your day ❤️
You’re saying you’re not trying to be rude while agreeing with a man that is completely ignorant on the fact that it is a medical condition keyword medical condition. I don’t know how many times I need to say it, but it is a medical condition and being overweight is something that is caused by said medical condition. Just like any other medical condition some people have it easier and some people have it worse
I never said it’s easy and I know it’s a medical condition. I was going off OPs original comment, which doesn’t provide context other than hate him because he’s a man and doesn’t understand PCOS. Why don’t we educate people instead of attacking people. Two things can be true at the same time. Without the context, it can be possible to lose weight with PCOS. It does more harm than good to say it’s impossible bc for some women with PCOS they will internalize that and think they can’t do anything
You don’t have to accept the advice. Whether you like it or not. You posted on an anonymous app where you aimed to attack a man for not understanding PCOS, which the top comment does as well. I was saying he wasn’t completely wrong. Two things can be true at once like I said. Just ignore it if you don’t agree. You can’t force people to not comment one way and not another just because I’m not woohoo agreeing with you.
