yeah it's like all the awful things they do/want to do just vanish into the air because the other guy is worse. like y'all we have to hold ourselves to higher standards. the power we have is in our labor and organization. lets use it to drive change instead of relying on a system built against us!

exactly!! genocide is so horrific i didn’t want to vote for any candidate that wanted to send more bombs to palestine. like i think people are honestly pretty desensitized to how bad it is because the world has been on fire for a while and we’re used to it. i didn’t want to vote for a lesser of two evils bc they are both evil. i understand why people did, but they don’t really care to understand my views. which is fine, but we need to recognize that the government will never work in our favor

hey. yeah lets not fucking go there. you have no clue how this legislation impacts us and you know what they say about assumptions 😅 I understand your anger, but you're directing it at the wrong place. Harris could have very easily won if she didn't sacrifice the progressive vote to perpetuate a genocide and back unpopular policy. now we're stuck with trump.

i won’t deny that my views come from a place of privilege for me personally. however, i share these views with people i know in real life who are incredibly marginalized. in fact, i learned my views from them. regardless, harris still wouldn’t have one if everyone who voted third party or didn’t vote, voted for her. the reason trump won is because of the people who voted for him.

i think she might’ve deleted her comments honestly. but yeah, the anger is valid but misdirected. they assume we’re just uneducated or ignorant but really i did so much thinking and learning and talking with people in real life which led to my decision. either way, blaming us does literally nothing for the cause

okay 1. never said i didn't vote, but i understand that position. 2 you literally spent this entire comment section blaming me, saying things like: "you have nobody to blame but yourself" and 3: harris is also awful so maybe check yourself. most politicians just perpetuate this horrible system, and they make us feel like they're the only option. i understand ur anger, but direct it towards the system, not the ppl trapped in it.

i don't control legislation. i would rather people didn't vote trump into office. i would rather live in a system where my rights aren't always under threat. that's not the world we live in unfortunately. the system is designed to fuck us over, and blaming others for not engaging with it over the corporations and politicians is not it.

yeah i've put a lot of work into discovering my position. i'm now engaged with party building for a trotskyist group! acting like we're ignorant about this stuff is honestly extremely demeaning.

that’s awesome! and yeah, but the solace is that usually this stuff only happens online. i’ve been better lately at not letting the things strangers say on the internet affect me more than the people who i know and agree with in real life who are making real change
