No fr because that asks too many questions! How would a gender verification work on YY? Who would design it? Is it the same people verifying others? Would it involve sensitive personal data? How would verification go about protecting that? How do we address discriminatory biases towards women who wouldn’t be ‘deemed’ as women based on the gender verification? Would it actually be helpful in creating a safe space for women or would it create more judgment on who’s ‘woman enough’ to be here?

yeah my thoughts exactly and imo those type of verification online are either for collecting more data from ppl that they can use to sell or use for advertising campaigns or it'll just end up being a whole new excuse for terfs to be more transphobic than they already are
