I hate it when reassurance about exes becomes just tearing down other people. Like oh you’re so much hotter than her/ he downgraded/ she’s ugly/ she has (any negative flaw)/ etc. is just so unnecessarily negative towards a girl who did nothing to you. You can say he wasn’t a good partner to you or a good person/ I feel bad for who ever dates him next/ etc. or maybe he was a good person but you are hurt about the breakup and that’s fine but like we don’t need to resort to insults
