Just a way to reframe this: keep in mind if you thought you were ugly then and were actually beautiful, that could very much still be the case. chances are you’re STILL a lot more attractive than you think you are.

This is the thing that always bewilders me lmfao. When I was 14 I was hideous. When I was 17 I was hideous but found pictures that revealed that I was actually beautiful at 14. Now at 21 I’m hideous but discover pictures that reveal me at 17 being beautiful

I rlly hope it’s a thing where I just can’t perceive myself and always hate myself regardless of what I look like. But the other option is that I just keep getting exponentially uglier

I hope this doesn’t come off the wrong way but this is a really common experience for folks with some kind body dysmorphia, especially since it seems to be a kind of cycle. I’ve seen my mom go through it my whole life. It’s hard not to when our culture is so critical of women and wants us to be young at all costs. I might gently suggest reaching out to somebody about this. I suspect you have been and continue to be beautiful all along.
