if its a new thing its prolly due to life circumstances like changes in stress or diet or smth like that. what seems to help me tho is tracking when ik my period is supposed to start (or if im not sure then just when i first notice any signs of cramps/pain that tell me its coming) & taking tylenol right away bc thats supposed to help reduce the production of prostaglandins which r what make periods painful & when i do that its not nearly as bad
