no literally bc why have I been applying to jobs almost all summer long and NOT A SINGLE ONE OF THEM has gotten back to me to at least say they don’t want me??? like at this point I don’t even care if they say no I just want a reply from any of the jobs I’ve applied to

My friend got laid off from his engineering job and didn’t find another one for over a year. My fiancé is a pilot and hasn’t heard back from the 100+ places he’s applied to across the country. I honestly only got my job as a news producer because my old boss had a connection here, but I applied to about 50 other jobs before that and nothing.

No literally, it’s the fact that we’re qualified too. It’s not like we’re applying to extremely high positions we’re looking for ANY work.

I got completely ghosted by place I had worked at before, used as references, and had good relationships with when I tried to come back after school. I even had the hiring manager’s number and still got absolutely nothing

I’ve even encountered jobs that just lie about being remote, because I want a remote job so desperately. I got to one interview when I was looking last time for a job that was posted on a website specifically for remote jobs, and during the interview they were confused why I was asking how the remote worked

I stopped applying when I got rejected from MACDONALDS for not having enough “relevant work experience”. BROTHER ITS MACDONALDS. IT ENTRY LEVEL WORK. WDYM I CANT FLIP BURGERS BECAUSE I DONT HAVE 6 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN IT??? IM ONLY 20!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LITERALLY THIS!!!! like WTF DO YOU MEAN this ENTRY LEVEL JOB requires at least X amount of years prior experience??? its ENTRY LEVEL!! IT LITERALLY MEANS THAT LITTLE TO NO EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED (usually)
