I have a high pain tolerance (I’ve broken my femur before) and I almost threw up when they put my IUD in the sensation of it was horrendous

I honestly didn’t hate it just felt like period cramps after I got it in but I got lidocaine. My friend didn’t cramp at all for hers

I have a higher pain tolerance, I got my iud put in unmedicated and while not on my period. The pain was awful but brief, I blacked out while scheduling my follow up appointment, the cramps were awful for the rest of the day afterwards but lightened up slightly over the next couple days.

If you decide to go with something else I have the nexplanon impant and they numbed me and I didn’t feel a thing it was so easy and painless

I’ve heard getting it removed is the worst and I’m yet to experience that part 😬
