Anyone can be blonde but the type of blonde depends on skin tone and under tone otherwise it looks off

I was blonde when I was younger and up until middle school, then my hair just started to get dark and it got to a dark brown so I get highlights, and I fear I do look better with my blonde hair and have been told by my own mother that 😭
