No kings day was fucking liiiiiiiiiiiit. Such a phenomenal event and families of all ages had such a great time denouncing the egotistical orange demon in the white house.

I love this. No hate, all peace. A group of people coming together nonviolently but peacefully being United.

I hope they have another protest soon. And I hope it won’t take Trump being a bumbling fool to a larger degree for these crowds to be drawn.

Update: Trump’s considering enacting the insurrection act in lieu of what happened yesterday. This is exactly what we were protesting against

It makes me wonder if people are just afraid of laughter and joy. Can’t wait to hear what catastrophe happened in NYC yesterday. Meanwhile I somehow befriended an Emmy winner? Very New York.

I love your stories! They’re so wholesome and it sounds like it was a great community experience. My favorite scene was how the right kept screaming this was a hate America rally and people would be under siege at these events. Meanwhile at the event a guy/girl in an inflatable kitty costume hugged two five year olds who were delighted to see them and their parents filmed it.

Friendliest people seem to live in cities where people are “mean”. We’re busy. We’d love to chat but I’m having to hope and pray the subways on time today.

They want us to be as miserable as they are on a regular basis. Compare the number of times youve seen a leftist complain they were excluded from right-leaning events versus the countless number of times rightoids will scream unfair when they’re excluded from leftist events or friends circles .

You are all missing the point of these protests. We are protesting while we still have the right to, in case you haven’t noticed he is actively trying to restrict free speech in any way he can, constitutionally or not

Read the comments below you. It’s not about enacting immediate change. It’s a show of demonstrative force the people are massively pissed off at the president dictator and are showing communal support towards a future where he’s not in it at all.

Trump IS a problem, he’s just not the source of the problem. The real issues are systemic displacement and unfair societal and capitalist practices which have been exacerbated ten fold since the expired meatloaf took office.

upvote 2 downvote

the real issue is this evil anglo culture which will always naturally conclude on this. this is literally just the natural conclusion of the culture. the solution isn’t rainbow communism it is a cultural revolution.

People shouldn’t think the reformation starts and ends with rallies like this, but saying “it doesn’t matter he’s still in power” is such a weak response when public viability DOES change systemic issues.
