And actually you could argue that science could be developed to make ai more environmentally friendly bc of the fact that it is still new, whereas there have been no scientific developments that largely decrease all the negative effects from animal agriculture, despite it being an older practice
Not really. Everywhere i look that has to do with environmentalism, lacks this topic. You already know why. Its bc the majority of the population arent plant based, so they dont want to bring attention to the harms they themselves are causing, in order to not feel like a hypocrite. Like i bet youre not even plant based.
Notice how you refuse to state whether u are plant based or not? Lmao. Also i can make such assumptions bc you sound like a carnist. You hate the fact that what i am saying is true. You all love to reflect your responsibility to other entities whenever you know you actually are engaging an even worse problem.
“you hate vegans” is such an odd take. my best friend is vegan, and i deeply admire their commitment and willingness to change their lifestyle for a cause they believe in. i wish i could be vegan! but i can’t without compromising my health and that’s true for a lot of people. we focus on ai because we lived without it for thousands of years. not using chatgpt is far easier than going vegan and is doable for pretty much everyone, unlike veganism.
Also the post i was quoting was acting like the only reason for global warming was ai which is obviously stupid. Why not say “problems can have more than one catalyst” to that post then? Its because you are a “current thing” activist, and only care abt ai bc thats the trendy thing to be against/care about. God forbid someone brings up another industry that is contributing far worse damage to the environment, bc you all support it and hate feeling guilty abt your contribution.
Also nobody said they both cant be true. You all lack critical thinking skills so fucking bad. Youre like worrying abt a fucking ant in the room when theres a fucking tiger in the room. Animal agriculture is far worse for the environment yet you all love to shut up those who bring it up bc you hate the fact that would mean youre inconsistent in your beliefs. “I only care abt the environment until it means i have to make lifestyle changes”
girl i’m not worrying about billions of people. i’m worried about what i can do and going vegan is not something i can do. plenty of non vegans, myself included, DO still try to limit our consumption of animal products. your all or nothing mindset is childish, helps no one, and is actually harmful because instead of encouraging people to do what they can you’re demonizing everyone who can’t commit to a 100% vegan lifestyle
not that it’s your business, but i already have a pretty restrictive diet due to food intolerances. if i went vegan, i’d be cutting out even more food and not getting proper nutrition, and/or would have to spend ridiculous amounts of money and energy to find/make vegan foods that also fit in my dietary restrictions
