Self breast exams are so confusing, I’m told to feel for lumps but my boobs are just lumpy like what’s the difference between good lump and bad lump

The difference is essentially trying to find new lumps I think. Or any lumps that feel different/painful.

if the lump has not been there forever it’s a questionable lump & then you ask about it when you go to see an actual doctor to find out if it’s actually bad

But I can’t tell what’s new, like there’s lumps everywhere idk the difference

what i would do if i was in your position & worried is i would get a clinical exam done by a professional, and once that cleared, i would become very familiar with the “good” baseline so I could know if something was different in the future

This is too complicated, wish I could afford to just have them chopped off, but leave the nipples I went through too much to get those suckers pierced to lose them

in that case, i think if you feel like your breasts are just particularly lumpy, lots of little lumps? i would just try to notice if there was anything growing or a new bigger one. if they are all usually uniform and now one’s big that’s be a red flag. but if it’s ~that~ complex & you’re high risk i think a clinical exam regularly would be good in general.

I honestly have no clue, my moms adopted so we know zero medical history for her and I really don’t know anything about my dads medical history, maybe I should look into a drs appt
