A lot of the major tampon brands have been found to have arsenic and lead (and many other toxic chemicals) in them. We unfortunately can’t have anything 😪

The levels found were lower than the allowable limits for children’s toys and well within what was expected. Anything from the ground (cotton) will have some trace levels of lead and arsenic because they’re naturally occurring. If you’re not afraid of your cotton tshirts and rice, there’s no need to be afraid of tampons. If you want to use tampons, don’t let the sensationalized clickbait stories scare you. They’re perfectly safe.
