this Cornell situation is why women get so pissed that there’s always a woman willing to defend men when we criticize them. it doesn’t matter what the situation is there’s always one

Boggles my mind that when someone says “rapists are bad” someone goes and takes it personally or tries to argue about it like what the fuck

It’s because they were raised in a house that taught them that women or inferior to men and that other women are their competitors. As someone who grew up with some of this I constantly have to rethink a lot of my own thoughts. I’ve never been to this level but I have let a man rape me so in truth those women are extremely miserable. As was I. Hate those women and the people who raise them to constantly be in flight or fawn

Because it’s always an issue of us vs them and i don’t know why we have to make it this way. as a society situations like this should raise awareness of the flaws we tread on, not force us into meaningless ad hominem against each other. for example, the whole “all men” debacle is misandrist women and insecure men having a small dick measuring competition and mutually getting nothing meaningful done

no woman is talking about “misandry” like it’s a real thing lmao it’s so obvious this is a man

if it wasn’t a real thing there wouldn’t be a term for it. I would be willing to have an actual conversation about it though

what world do you live in where men are systematically oppressed on the basis of gender

What world do you live on where the systematic oppression of people plays any role in the act of hate speech against that group of people? for example, homophobia is defined as the fear or hatred of non-heterosexual individuals. nothing to do with their oppression in historical settings. They are irrelevant to one another.

misandry is defined as the hatred of men. again, nothing to do with systematic oppression. claiming someone is misandrist doesn’t mean you are claiming men are oppressed individuals.

the one where almost all violent crime is perpetrated by men lmao I don’t think being mean to them will ever amount to that

Thats not relevant to the point. We were talking about whether misandry exists and now you are trying to justify misandry. Are you conceding it is real? also 69% of violent crime is committed by men. That’s an overwhelming majority, but “almost all” is a ridiculous overstatement

Meaning I have never seen anyone actually go as far as to respond to “rapists are bad” that way. I have only seen that response to “men are bad” or “frats are bad.”

as a man in a frat i don’t get the outrage to those comments bc if i know i’m not doing anything bad then why should i let someone on the internet call me names and stuff. like even if someone says all men are trash its like i have a girlfriend that thinks i’m alright idk you get the point

i don’t think people understood the point of what i’m saying i lowkey think they read “as a man in a frat” and checked out. my point kind of validates this position. anyone who gets mad at a woman for saying “all men are dogs” or “all frats are rapists” are kinda weird because if you know you are not a bad person why would you let a random persons opinion of you cloud that? unless you are not a good person?

There are a lot of women in this community that are very adamant on it just being girls, regardless of it you’re gay or not. Just so you know

the term “misandry” was created by incels to be a false counterpart to misogyny, intended to downplay its systemic impact. just say “sexism.”

Anonymous replying to -> #6 10h

what the term comes from doesn’t really matter. it’s in every dictionary you can get a hold of. People know what it means, they dint know the entomology behind it. no reason not to say it when that is literally the topic of discussion
