On the implant and haven’t had my period in 2 months!!! Should I be happy or concerned?

Totally normal in my experience on it. I spotted non stop the first few months then didn’t get a period until after I had it removed. It was soooo nice

Happy! It’s keeping your uterine lining thin so it’s safe to not have a period. Enjoy it!

Coming back to say that although I’m not an expert, from what I read I believe you stop having periods on the implant because it effectively tricks your body into thinking it’s pregnant. It’s why I had pregnancy symptoms when it was kicking in. There are other ways it prevents pregnancy, but that’s definitely one of the reasons

It’s fine to think about it that way, but it’s really an oversimplification and not accurate. More accurately but still simply, it holds your body’s hormones at a level away from ovulation. Kind of like freezing your hormonal cycle.
