Wait, English speakers use that term too? “Conquering women” I thought it was only used in my native language. When I used that phrase in an ESOL class back in high school because I was translating directly from my native tongue, the teacher told me that’s not really the context for which you’d use the word “conquer.”

it’s not a common usage. generally conquering refers to like “the conquistadors conquered what is now Colombia” (idk if that’s historically accurate), as in a political context
