Same I’m 210 lbs and I have a chronic illness. I have so many issues and so I can literally only eat ground up chicken and spinach every day for the past 6 years yet somehow I’m this size. It feels like shit

It literally is because I eat like shit and always stay the same size

I thought this too but then I realized that I don’t eat as insane amount overall over a week or month as I thought I did. I eat shitty food and eat insane amounts lots of days but if you add up the amount and total calories over a longer period it’s really not that much

Slow metabolism and genetics is very much a thing

You definitely don’t eat enough

I used to eat a massive bag of chips a day plus stuffed myself to full on stuff with carbs and all I got was a little more booty, it’s def a thing. just like how people are naturally bigger, others are naturally lean. like this is basic biology

You might genuinely have a food absorption issue. Other than that, it’s calories in calories out! There are many small ways in which “naturally lean” people get more exercise and eat less food.

people have told me I’m really healthy/lucky to have a fast metabolism and I’m skinny as hell even if I eat pounds of food (I’m tall tho so it spreads out maybe idk)

Being tall definitely helps lol. But also you might think you eat pounds of food but you end up burning it off, or you don’t actually eat pounds of food that often. It’s the reverse for bigger people, they think they get enough exercise and “barely eat”.

I eat healthy meals and then have absolute garbage on the side (bowls of ice cream, cake, multiple sodas) pretty much everyday, and yet I have stayed within the same 10lb range since I was 12. I’m 20, so yes it’s entirely possible, and kindve annoying as well

I don’t work out or even go outside some days, and I ate enough daily (3 meals) to do the freshman 15. ate more than my guy friends who weighed more and they gained a lot of weight while I stayed the same.

When it comes to weight your body doesn't care how bad your diet is it cares about how many calories you're eating.
