I can’t find ur og post (it’s probably here somewhere) so I’ll say it here but I’ve had two Skyla. I got my first one before I ever had sex and it lasted all three years. and it hurt so fucking bad I couldn’t sleep the first night but it slowly better after that. I bled for a month straight after insertion and it made my light three day periods heavier and longer (which I thought was weird). I had to have my second one taken out bc it twisted :/
Nooo that’s what I’m worried about 😭 my periods are currently pretty mild for a day or 2 then very light for another 5 days, and VERY regular. I’m leaning towards an IUD with minimal hormones like Skyla over the copper IUD bc it generally results in lighter periods and the copper results in heavier periods. I guess there no way of knowing how it will affect me unless I try it but damn I wish there was 😭
If you don’t mind me asking, did you get Skyla purely for contraceptive purposes or did you also get it to regulate hormones? Like I’m wondering if already having a hormone imbalance will cause the iud to make it worse, or if your hormones are fine to begin with then will an iud cause an imbalance?
