 Hey random question but does anyone know how to play the cymbals? I’m trying to teach myself because I’m in band and everyone’s kind of sent me off on my own and I have to figure out how to play two songs by Monday with nearly no instruction

Idk how to better describe this but the first clash starts the note but doesn’t finish it? Does that make sense?

I think so? I’m supposed to dampen between notes but it goes so fast that I’m just crashing repeatedly without time to dampen, then it’s just hihats and rests for 32 notes, then hihats that slide into crashes but I don’t quite have the hang of that?

I’ve got the music pulled up and playing and have honestly just been trying to replicate the sounds of the cymbals that I can hear under everything else
