for me personally it was a combination $20k in student loans, working a full time job for a year and a half before starting (saving as much as possible & living with my parents for as long as possible), and having extremely generous grandparents. also going to community college + transferring to a public university in state saved me a lot of money in undergrad

definitely just got very lucky with coming out of undergrad with no debt which i know is not the case for everyone, i don’t think i’d be here rn if i was in debt from undergrad. i also had a college fund that took care of undergrad stuff so i won’t sugarcoat that lol

overall tho, masters degrees are shorter programs in the uk so it ends up being less money overall than staying in the us (at least in my degree of study)
