He was both more normal and age appropriate for Bella. Because let’s be fr obvs there’s creepy groomy vibes with the whole imprinting thing but Edward was also like OVER 100 YEARS OLD even though he was technically 17 forever he was literally a grown man dating a minor and being like “ur so mature for ur age”

I mean Taylor Lautner could in-fact be the better pick than RPat, but you lose me at Jacob>Edward. I cannot get over the super grimey grooming vibes between the massive wolf and the vampire baby. Stephanie Meyer was tapping into some deeply unsettling Sigmund Freud/Coke-era Stephen King vibes and i did not fw it.

yeah smeyer’s got some issues with her male characters considering the stalking and controlling behavior from edward then the imprinting 😭 i swear though she only added jacob imprinting on renaissance thing because she didn’t know how to break up the love triangle AND still have jacob be an important person in bella’s life
