I struggled with this my entire life too(I’m 23 now) but for 6ish months now I’ve been rotating getting Gel X and Gel nails, Gel X is where they put a fake nail on top then pain with Gel nail polish(this lasts about 2 months, 1 month then go get a “fill” when your nails grow too long) then get them taken off to give your real nails a break and just get normal gel(last 3-4 weeks or so) then repeat
