I go to school out of state cuz I have ptsd from home. I was trying to get scholarships and all the local ones are so specific, I have to graduate from a specific hs and/or go to a specific in state university, everyone says local scholarships but I can’t

seems like that’s most places, states and local communities tend to give back to it’s residents 1st which is understandable but it does make it harder for out of state students

And that’s all good but I just looked at a rotary club, and I didn’t even know what those were, and it goes u have to 1 graduate from a specific highschool (the rival of my hs) then 2 go to a community college for a trade, you wouldn’t be eligible if it wasn’t a trade. Like that’s a bit insane. And all of the scholarships near me are like that so specific. I get that no one stays in this quiet town but maybe they should make it more interesting and worthy instead of specific scholarships

And the community college was a local one, if u didn’t go there u wouldn’t get the scholarship

they do that on purpose so it can only go to locals, it’s crazy but i’m sure that’s what’s happening

but considering it is a small town there’s probably more ppl than you think who meet the requirements
