So 👀 I actually never got an answer to that. My periods would last up to three weeks before I started birth control. N then once I got nexplanon implant they went away entirely except for one time when it lasted for over a month (which is actually the time this post is abt lmao). N to fix it they put me on the pill on top of the nexplanon, which scared me bcos double hormones is crazy but it did stop my month-long period. N I didn’t have health insurance at the time so I didn’t investigate it-
- further at that point. I have health insurance now and asked my Dr abt it but she basically said “okay but that was years ago. As long as you don’t go off birth control, it should be fine”. Which. I didn’t love that answer bcos I’d like to not be on birth control forever ? And also I’d like to know if something is wrong even if the symptoms are currently inactive ? But then I got diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder last month so I’m focused on that rn 😭
Sounds about right. I have debilitating cramps and excessive blood that can’t be normal. And both of my gynecologists just ask if I wanna stat on birth control and not figure out wtf is wrong. My old one told me to eat ginger of all things. They hate for women to know what’s wrong with their reproductive organs
