I remember doing an experiment where when walking around campus, I didn't move to make way for men (there was always PLENTY of room on the sidewalk for someone else to pass by). The amount of men who have crashed into me and were surprised/angry that I didn't make way for them is astounding. Even the ones who bothered to look up from their phones and SAW me coming expected me to move around them They truly do not perceive us as people, but as objects
