They were given such a soft punishment at the time because even the DA couldn’t find any criminal charges to put on them based on HER sworn testimony. If new evidence shows up in this reopened trial the men involved will be punished severely especially with how much attention the case has gotten

Why am I being downvoted? I’m saying that the lack of evidence at the time should NOT have discounted the severity of the allegations. Whatever happened to zero tolerance policy? It’s absolutely atrocious that these rapists got to finish their degree after this assault

i think people only say this so they don’t get deleted. i’ve noticed on yikyak that they don’t really flag stuff, but apps like tiktok and instagram will, so maybe they’re just being cautious
