i hate when skinny people call themselves fat. i know body dysmorphia is a thing but if you actually think you’re fat then what does that make me… if that makes sense

Exactly, or when they freak out cause they somehow gained a lb. And all they had was kale salad with nuts. Like it’s so insensitive, like I understand people have their views on their own bodies. But read the room like it’s some of us who are trying so hard to lose weight and really can’t.

I feel like I’m fat for my own standard; based on a bias and arbitrary scale, if that makes sense

i mean you can hate it but they probably actually do struggle with body image issues if they think they’re fat. also being fat isn’t bad i don’t know why you’re upset

As a recovered anorexic, when I used to say these kinds of things, I was literally never thinking the same about anybody else. My view of myself was distorted and my brain was always thinking horrible things about ME. I’ve never looked at anybody else and thought the same way

Having had an ed for years messed up my sense of what I look like and what others look like. Most girls who are skinny but say they aren’t are either looking for attention or have body dysmorphia like you mentioned. Body dysmorphia is so weird because I will be convinced the scale is lying to me because when I look in the mirror I see 10+ lbs more

i know that i’m relatively skinny and the ONLY time i ever call myself fat is as a joke. like “i’m such a fat fucking chud” after/before eating a fuck ton. skinny people that are fully serious when calling them fat are almost ALWAYS attention seeking or purposely trying to mar others feel bad unfortunately :/

i never said being fat was bad and i also said i know body dysmorphia is a thing. what im saying is, if their body dysmorphia is telling them they’re fat when they’re significantly smaller than me what does they think about me?

what does it matter what they think about your body if they’re not mentally well in the way that evaluate bodies? they probably thing you’re way fatter. that doesn’t mean you’re actually unhealthy. their mindset is the unhealthy one. also tho some people think everyone except themselves look good and might genuinely think you’re skinnier than them and be unable to see themselves accurately bc of dysmorphia
