There’s pros and there’s cons. I think it’s good that the stories are being shared (if shared respectfully) bc a lot of cases have been solved bc of the pressure the media has put at the same time people treat it as if it’s a hobby and it’s not it was real people who died and families who were hurt and your saying “that was such a fun and interesting case”

Because people are drawn to tragedy, like to hear about absurd human behavior, like the suspense or mystery of cases, and like the satisfaction of hearing the resolution or justice that comes after

It’s interesting really plain and simple but for a lot of reasons. As long as you don’t forget it’s real people and real families that have gone through unimaginable horrors and you’re not romanticizing it or anything I totally get it

I think people are totally misunderstanding my question which is on me. I’m not against people that watch or listen or are interested in true crime. I’m talking about the “fans” that you see more commonly I guess with serial killers like the coloring books, the tattoos, the obsessing over the killer and not paying respects to the victims
