anti-intellectualism is so dangerous. people are really out here thinking college education = indoctrination.

does higher education tend to be more liberal? yes. but does that mean it’s pushing the agenda? no

higher education in my opinion is a target of anti-intellectualism. i can’t count the times my family has made liberal jokes about my major (i was a humanities major) and my brother complains about how liberal his law school profs are from time to time

i was just stating that that’s why a bunch of people likely hate higher education, because it’s viewed as this indoctrination chamber where if you don’t conform to the so-called “liberal” ideology and standards set forth by higher education institutions then you won’t succeed

this isn’t my point tho? it’s more so about the fact that conservative republicans are extremely anti-college and would rather you be under-educated than not educated at all. they hate it when people are smarter than them.

i see what you mean, i guess my thought process is a more roundabout way of your answer, which i wholeheartedly agree they hate when people are highly educated because then they are more likely to see plot holes in their ideas
