I genuinely don’t understand how people can do so much hooting and hollering about being pro-life yet suddenly forget how to talk when it comes to talking about building infrastructure that would protect the women carrying said lives.

bc it’s not about life, it’s about controlling and punishing women :/

Because pro life isn’t about actual life. It’s pro forced birth. The same people will vote against funding school lunches, vote against universal healthcare, against social safety nets. There’s nothing “pro life” about their position else they’d be very vocal socialists first and foremost.

Exactly. I posted this after someone on my campus said that they should be respected for being pro-life but had no words when it came to thinking about establishing laws protecting women and children. What’s respectable about a position that dissolves that easily? There’s an extent of ignorance (willful or not) necessary to hold these positions that go against their own interest and threaten people’s livelihoods, and I can’t afford to play dumb. Most of us can’t, truly!
