Girlies quick question ๐ญ When you go to the doctor and they listen to your chest with a stethoscope, do they usually slip it under your shirt, ask you to take your shirt off, or have you remove your bra too? Just curious what's normal for y'all ๐
It depends! Most of the time they slip it under my shirt, but I also will say Iโve only had women doctors, which increases my comfort a lot with that kind of stuff:)

I have never been asked to take my shirt or anything off when it's just a normal physical. honestly even for ER/urgent care visits if they use a stethoscope they do it over my clothes!

omg mine was a female doctor too!! ๐ญ but the nurse told me to take my shirt AND bra off so she could listen to my heart better. i was honestly caught off guard and uncomfortable so i didn't do it. was just wondering if anyone else experienced that ๐ญ๐

girl that's so interesting ๐ญ sounds like your doctors are way more modest lol. i barely ever go to the doctor so when they asked me to take my top and bra off i was like WHAT?? ๐ maybe mine was just a weird one-off. thank you for sharing!! ๐

oh wow that's a whole different approach ๐ญ so you're just wearing a gown with no shirt or bra underneath?? i've never had that happen! idk if i'd feel comfortable, i'd feel so vulnerable ๐ญ i honestly prefer keeping my clothes on if possible ๐

im used to it now itโs so the doctor can reach everything she needs. The gown is closed in front open in the back so i feel a little awkward but at the end of the day its the doctor so i trust her

yeah girl that's what i ended up doing! i kept my shirt and bra on and told the doctor she'd have to work around it lol. i just wasn't comfortable taking everything off. even a gown feels too exposing to me. i feel safer in my actual clothes ๐ญ

girl that's honestly great that you have that level of trust with your doctor! i think i'm just a lot more modest personally. even with a gown i'd feel pretty vulnerable. but everyone's different and i'm glad that works for you! thank you for sharing :)
