And, to OP’s point, we have more rights in general and are no longer forced to be reliant on men (which is part of women being able to leave to escape abuse). No-fault divorces have been monumental in decreasing DV prevalence and average intensity

The source you site discusses explicitly the ECOA 😭 yes, it was technically possible for a woman to get a credit line before ecoa but it was realistically unlikely because the right wasn’t protected. It’s like saying the wage gap isn’t real because rich women exist; just because it’s theoretically possible doesn’t mean that the average person has any chance of achieving it
