i think that’s what they meant about it being a spectrum , like for example i have a friend who is very solid in her asexual identity but felt comfortable having sex with her last partner. still identifies as ace, still doesn’t care or think about sex ever, and doesn’t want to with her current partner

so it could be both but also it doesn’t really need to be labeled if you’re not sure
