it’s always protect your daughter why for once can’t it just be about men’s terrible actions. we would not have to protect our daughters if men didn’t behave the way they do.

i’m not trying to be annoying but i’ve actually never heard someone respond to a 🍇 case with “protect your daughter” i’ve heard the whole BS “what was she wearing” shit but idk maybe i’m under a rock? I definitely see posts like this a lot more than anyone responding that

Part of consent is it having the ability to take away that consent. If she didn’t want to engage any more, at any point, it’s 🍇. Apart of being intoxicated beyond consent is not remembering or losing autonomy. Agreeing to experiment with drugs doesn’t mean agreeing to try that many at that dosage. Agreeing to engage with sexual acts with one or some men doesn’t equal being “offered” to a whole group chat. Agreeing to a sexual act doesn’t mean agreeing to 7 hours.

that was one of her statements immediately after. she made another one like 3 weeks later to the cornell police but they did not turn in that statement to the DA. that very outwardly said she revoked her consent with them MULTIPLE TIMES

the victim should be validated but we shouldn’t attack the defendants before any trial process, i mean a mother in the midwest had her window smashed in because her son had the same name as one of the men at cornell. vigilantism is super dangerous. there too many self-righteous professional typers out there ngl

All good, not specifically this comment section besides OP saying “men’s terrible actions” but I’m just ranting. As a guy who was actually raised right and doesn’t like seeing other people label all men as dangerous or bad.

Oh okay! So I think it’s important to say that OP didn’t say that, OP’s point is that protecting our daughters isn’t the only proactive way to help, it’s also influenced by how we raise our sons. OP never calls out anyone and even says it’s not a response. I do not know you or your intentions ! Especially as a man on Girl Talk. But if you feel as though you were raised right and meet those listed asks. Then this post should feel like a pat on the back for you and your parents, not an attack!

Why do men wanna defend rape so bad. You should be allowed to experiment with drugs without someone using it to knock you unconscious to rape you

no one said all men but that’s not the point. we’re not talking about the men who don’t rape we’re talking about the ones that do. i did say men’s terrible actions because why are you sitting in this comment section instead of saying rape is wrong youre defensive and trying to spin my words to make urself look like a good person. “terrible actions” arent just rape and sa, it’s the defensive not all men arguments too.

instead of thinking about urself think about the fact this couldve happened to your mom your sister your best friend your girlfriend your daughter your cousin, would you still be defending men or would you be advocating for them.

I’m not defending men who rape. It’s a Discusting thing. I’m saying don’t categorize all men as something.

protect your daughters is still a good sentiment, then. I was assuming the anger was directed at “protect your daughters” being used as an excuse for poor behaviors from men but if it is just being spoken generally and not as a deflection from the real problems we face then i don’t really see the issue. daughters and sons should both be protected and educated alike.

Protect your daughters? Yeah sure let’s start with that by teaching them not to get high and go to a frat house by HERSELF. Seems like that should be some common sense, because if Women are always the victim why didn’t she go with a friend?
