On another note, not like every guy will listen but–… I told a few guys to “first try to talk to their guy friends about their mental health and feelings instead of blaming it on women first” and ngl it did work 2/3 times. They even told me their guy friends appreciated being checked on. I think men usually fr just assume they can only talk about feelings with women which is why most women feel like therapists for them.
I also encourage open discussion on the transparent and vulnerable things with all my guy friends, or if they aren’t sure how to move forward in a healthy way. I’ll offer assistance in helping them get with a therapist and check in from time to time. It’s nice cause they end up returning the favor, holding space has really changed how they show up in general.
