Girls I need help. I have an undercut that measures 30in and widest bust is 36 inches. So about a 30DDD for bra. Insurance will approve a reduction but only if I go all the way down to an A. Basically just the bud left. Am I crazy if I do it?

That’s absolute bullshit. I’m getting a reduction in December and the surgeon I met with is actually very against that much of a reduction. She’s only putting me down a cup I think.

Whattt that’s insane that they only cover to remove to an A cup… I don’t know if you’d be happy with that. A good surgeon will want to give you something that suits your body type and life style, not just whatever your insurance will cover. IMO no, don’t do it

This is what I want to look like tho. I feel like this is an A

They have to be able to remove a certain weight for the insurance to approve it as medically necessary. Anything less is considered cosmetic even if it’s on a small frame. It’s the insurance companies fault, not the surgeons or else it would be fraud or I’d have to pay out of pocket for a reduction more personalized to what I want.

Are your breasts pretty large? Mine aren’t considered large in general but are considered too large on my frame.

I think it’s worth it to pay for something that will make you confident and not just what your insurance says to do :/ this sucks I’m sorry

I’m 38DDD and no im not paying out of pocket. There’s certain words or phrases drs need to say to insurance companies to get them to actually cover it. Like if your Dr just said it’s a reduction without saying it’s effecting you day to day blah blah blah yeah insurance isn’t gonna wanna pay for it. Most doctors should know what to say but it’s not the case 100% of the time.

It’s that but it has to pass a certain number of grams on a scale that the insurance goes by

I mean my insurance company has that too but in no way is it going from DDD to an A. If an A is what you want then that’s perfect but if not maybe ask your Dr to do a peer to peer review with your insurance company.

I’m a 30DDD tho so it’s no where near a 38DDD. I probably only have MAYBE 500grams rn. And that’s a hard maybe. So if they’re required to remove 340 from me, then it’s most likely gonna result in an A cup.
