I’m 100% ok with abortion. I just need ppl to understand that abortion is great! But if we’re just going to engage in behavior that will not abort a fetus but instead cause a human being to be disabled on purpose is easily avoidable and sad tbh. FASD and babies born to withdrawal are so common and life long consequences

I’ve just seen girls saying “I live in a red state this baby coming out one way or another” with alcohol and I’m like NOOOO alcohol won’t do anything! 😭 it will just cause disability which isn’t cool! We definitely need more parenting classes, access to abortion and birth control and health/sex Ed.

There are a lot of teas and supplements. Stuff that is bad for a pregnancy is not necessarily an abortificant: alcohol, cold cuts, doing cat litter, acutane, thalidomide (these will harm a pregnancy but will not necessarily cause a termination$

I really just want to educate people on it because chasing someone disabilities isn’t cool at all, but termination is ok ❤️ and there are safe alternatives! We don’t need to die over these. NO COAT HANGERS. NO OVERDOSES.

Red states don’t talk about abortion and how certain methods don’t cause abortion. There is limited sex and health ed. It’s very common. I’m in a blue state.

As a woman from a heavy deep red state. I wasn’t given sex ed, I was given scare tactics, told I was going to hell, taught to not “give myself away until marriage” and had to educate myself on everything I know now as a 20 year old. So yes, red states only focus on religion, and that if you access abortion you will go to hell.

yes there are schools that teach about abortion but don’t teach about sex ed unfortunately. u are coming from a privileged standpoint, but you have to understand that not everyone is that fortunate. the school system is very fucked up.

Abortion is not ✨ great ✨. It’s the best of a situation that shouldn’t have happened. If you don’t want a child that’s fine but don’t use abortion as a form of birth control. I’m not saying that’s entirely what you’re saying but it sounds similar. Do I think women should have the right to choose? Absolutely. But when those same women drink and smoke and get abortions as birth control that’s when it gets out of control

Abortion isn’t birth control—it’s what people turn to when birth control fails or isn’t accessible. Calling it birth control ignores medical reality and contradicts itself. You can’t say you support letting women choose while also opposing the tools that give them real choices in the first place.

Not sure what drinking and smoking has to do with the validity of abortions 😭 and some women (I think like 18% of women getting abortions) have had more than 2 but we have to keep in mind that a lot of abuse victims will sneak away to have abortions secretly or are in situations where they are pressured into getting them. With proper sex education and access to contraceptives as well as better protections for abuse victims, repeat abortions would decrease significantly.

i think this idea that women use abortions as birth control is just fear mongering. sure there might be a few people who do that, the same way there are a few people who do weird shit with anything else. barely anyone is taking no preventative measures when it comes to having sex (unless they are uneducated abt bc) and just accepting the fact that they will keep getting pregnant

Just saw this. It’s the best alternative to female suicide and infanticide. With the rates of foster care and lack of adoption and the trauma that comes from child birth and POVERTY RATES. If someone’s ready for pregnancy and motherhood with 0 support system it is GREAT.
