Yep ive noticed this a lot too. A lot of them also dont take feminism seriously as a movement despite feminism targeting the oldest nd most pervasive form of oppression and exploitation; patriarchy. Im bi too, but most of the times its men approaching me and it has almost always been some variation of what u just mentioned. Im happy to know that women tend to be mostly progressive tho i have come across quiet a few that were also more conservative than they pretended to make friends w other women

It's so insidious isn't it? The way that they *know* their beliefs aren't popular so they'll lie and manipulate how you perceive them to get a date or get laid. Some of the women got the whole tradwife thing going on and it's just like damn! Is no one normal!!

It really is. I think a part of it is that they have these hateful beliefs *because” they are not popular so it makes them feel like contrarians and edgy. At the same time they want access to sex and relations with women so they put on a mask. It used to confuse me that conservative men would pursue me knowing that my political beliefs were opposed to theirs until i realized its cuz they dont care about what a womens opinion is anyways so it didnt make a difference if i disagreed.

Yeah! And for some of them, the thrill is breaking down progressive women and mold them to what *they* want; it's all about power and control. It's why a lot of conservative men don't pursue conservative women who are already on board with the whole subservient, homesteading lifestyle. And those conservative women demand their male partners to be "traditional" (being the breadwinner, leader, etc) and a lot of the conservative men can't or don't want to be beholden to those standards Ironic huh

U articulated my thoughts perfectly! Though they claim to be conservative and subscribe to traditional values they don’t actually want to practice that lifestyle. Many men automatically feel degraded simply by the existence of independent women since jt contradicts what they r socially conditioned to believe in: a hierarchy that puts them above women. Ultimately, they seek to put women in their place. As u said its the act of stripping a woman of her autonomy that is thrilling to them.

This is why its so common for men to try and “humble” women around them (their own partners, family) via bullying, demeaning, claiming biological superiority over women. All to correct what they view as the natural hierarchy and feel in control. Rape and harassment are also tools for exactly this purpose. Violate a woman physically and psychologically as to disable her and establish her as the subordinate. Rape is not about sexuality but about domination.

Right!! It's so funny to me when I see all these news articles talking about the dating gap for heterosexual Gen Z men and women. "Why are these men so lonely? Why don't women want to start families? Why is there such a mismatch in the dating habits of this generation?" Like hello!! Women have greater autonomy to the point where we don't *need* to depend on men anymore, and so we're choosing more carefully (or not choosing at all and not partnering with men at all). And the men can't keep up!!
