i used AI throughout the academic year and now im trying to not depend on it for summer classes so it can normal when i go back in the fall. my brain has been shrinking

good for you for trying to avoid it! it’s tough bc it makes things so much easier but i agree, i stopped using it last year because it was defeating the purpose of me paying so much tuition to learn

yea i realized it was bad when my classmates were talking about things like they were common sense and i had no idea what they were referring to😭

yeah 😭😭 same i really took a minute to reflect and i was like. what am i even doing? i’m losing the simple skill of researching things bc i’m getting an instant answer for everything and i am not retaining any information. i use AI sparingly now to explain concepts but even then i’d rather watch a youtube video or something if i can find one
