Does anyone else have constant anxiety that their memory is wrong? Like I get worried that I’m remembering my fiancé’s name wrong, or that I’m in the wrong house, or putting the stamp on the wrong side of the envelope. Like completely simple things
all the time fr, it's why i almost never use names or pronouns when i talk to someone 🙂↕️🙂↕️ cant get it wrong if i don't use it all

in agreement with the rest of the first comments as an OCD girly that does this even with my own phone number

Anonymous13w
no same, or i’ll get so anxious that i’m forgetting to do something or forgetting about something
11
Anonymous13w
YES, but i also worry about the legitimacy of my memory for more dire things too. i’m worried something really bad happened to me but because i can’t remember it, i’m going only on speculation from clues i had to piece together

Anonymous13w
I also don’t wanna armchair diagnose but yeah this sounds like ocd

i will never say anyone’s name bc i’m worried that somehow i’m wrong (even if i’ve personally known them for over a year)

I double checked my wedding invitations 5 times and still panicked that I had misspelled MY OWN NAME after I mailed them out

Does it really? I’ve had anxiety my whole life but I’ve never thought I had OCD

AnonymousOP13w
Yes I didn’t realize what OCD truly was for a while a lot of it is just like extreme inner loops and reflections of anxiety

Anonymouscyborgirl13w
See mine isn’t extreme, it doesn’t like stop my day it just bugs me

Anonymousslutty_anakin13w
I 100% do this with my mom’s number that I’ve had memorized since I was 4

Anonymous#313w
no, especially if you’ve had the number for many months and have told it to ppl + written it down multiple times 😍

AnonymousOP13w
OCD and anxiety are usually paired together so yes

Anonymous#213w

Anonymous#313w
just like ADHD, depression, and anxiety all overlap same with OCD

Anonymous#313w
a lot of the stuff online does not do it justice
9
Anonymous#213w
well this doesn’t help because i think i might be depressed and now maybe i also have ocd 😭

Anonymous#413w
this is getting a little deeper, but does anyone else sometimes ever feel like they’re not living their life, but rather watching someone else live it? because i feel that way occasionally too
10
Anonymous#413w
That’s depersonalization
11
Anonymousslutty_anakin13w
