I reported my ex bf who was also my closest “friend” at college for DV finally… Ik i made the call for help, but making that serious decision so fast, it felt like he died bc i spent almost all of college with him for him to leave in handcuffs and never speak again

Kinda a different vibe than other commenters but when my grandpas dementia took a turn, it was 2 years of mourning his mind before we mourned his body too :(

My best friend in elementary school. Only knew her a year before we both ended up moving. When I saw her again it was great! But it also showed just how different our lives had become. It stung even more because she went to a highly Christian college and I realized I was queer. I had to face the thought that she might not be safe to come out to.

Similar story my best friend has a TBI with early onset dementia but I’m not supposed to know I’m mourning the life she could have had with out being able to fully be there for her
