so i want to clean and organize right but i get cleaning paralysis where i know i have 17 things to do and don’t know where to start so i just sit on my phone- does anyone have any tips on how to overcome this?

i also struggle w this so i just try to get started w anything at all instead of trying to plan things out optimally/priority wise and that momentum usually carries me thru

When I realize I’m stuck on my phone I remind myself that at any other time this was not an option, and they got their work done. So I just need to get off the phone and start. I usually throw on some music or an audio book and now my body just knows when one of those comes on that it’s time to clean

I so feel you. What helps me is making a list either on your own or with someone who can help you organize your thoughts (for me it’s my therapist or my mom but I’ve done it by myself too) then you pick the most pressing thing and start there. One thing at a time. You’ve got this!

but there’s also times when i keep switching to other tasks before finishing the thing i’m currently doing and end up making more of a mess than i began with so take this w a grain of salt
