Don’t worry girl, you are good! Just take a few deep breaths! Don’t stress, it’s bad for the body! It’s all mental!

If the condom was used for all penetration and it didn’t break, you’re not pregnant. It’s normal to feel a bit anxious as you learn to trust your protection, but if the anxiety outweighs the pleasure, consider talking to your doctor about hormonal birth control to put your mind at ease.

Yes it was used for all penetration and didn’t break. It’s hard for me to get on birth control because I come from a very Christian family who doesn’t agree with sex before marriage and I don’t want to open that conversation (I’ve had utis from dehydration and been accused of sex when I was still a virgin). I think a big factor in my anxiety is because of my family and the reaction if I WERE pregnant (paired w the fact that I’m a college student and in no way ready to raise a kid) and I—

I completely understand. I’m from a Christian family too. We just have to find a way to work through this together! ❤️

Completely understandable. Birth control is way more accessible than most people realize! You’re an adult, so your parents have no say in your medical care unless you’re incapacitated. If you’re worried about them finding out via insurance, you can go completely outside of insurance. Your campus clinic can likely prescribe birth control pills and maybe even fill the prescription. You could also use a service like Planned Parenthood Direct. GoodRX can get you major discounts on refills—

—Check it ahead of time so you can find a pill that’s in your budget. There are some for under $10 a month. I understand foraging your own path and making medical decisions alone can feel overwhelming, but you just might find it’s less scary than pregnancy anxiety. I know it was for me. And if you have any questions along the way, give a holler!

Yesssss! Opill is incredible! Completely OTC, no prescription needed and it’s just like any other progestin-only pill!

Thank you!! You’re a godsend ❤️ i honestly just don’t want to have that conversation w my mom, that’s the biggest part. She *might* be better than I’m anticipating just bc I know she knows my older brother is sexually active (and not married), but obviously still an awkward conversation to have. The biggest thing about any birth control is I’m afraid of it messing with my emotions and I’m on meds for epilepsy so I’m not sure if anything would interact negatively
