The party frats are the real problem at my university. I’m in a fraternity (co-ed) where we aren’t even allowed to drink if we are at an even sponsored by the fraternity. And we have been made well aware that if nationals got a SNIFF of us hazing we would be shut down by them and not the university.

To alone say to ban all frats, or to not ban all frats, is lowkey stupid. U guys aren’t thinking optimally. If u go back and forth debating it, it really comes down to an empirical bet: don’t ban frats if u think universities will actually regulate them or ban frats if you realistically think they won’t be able to.

Both arguements to ban and not ban frats are basically a tie, but in situations like that it’s usually better to side with the more reversible option, which is to just impose heavier regulations. Banning is a lot less reversible.
