i’m with you. i’m from the south and come from a very temperate family but so it always feels so off putting when i’m around families who get tipsy at the pool with their friends while their kids are running around. it’s so unsettling it’s crazy that’s it’s normalized and i feel bad for the kids. i never had to worry as a kid if my parents were all the way there when something happened and seeing my friends roll their eyes at their tipsy parents made me so sad
