that is correct, and also before doing any imaging to assess risk. it is really annoying that they care more about a potential fetus but at the end of the day i think it’s just to cover their ass in case they did harm someone’s baby (i work in the medical field, basically everything is about covering our ass)

Oh yeah I know. Downside is that they are hardly ever upfront as to why they have to ask so sometimes they just give attitude. Just sucks all around ig :/

yeah, when i had to have a colonoscopy they were hella rude to me about the pregnancy test. the nurse was um….well let’s say she could have handled it better 😒

They didn’t even take x-rays or anything on me. They felt my toe, saw the swelling etc. sent me home with pain meds and wrapped my toe up good. They also asked about my period and when it was. Idk why my period had anything to do with my toe but it did apparently

I would’ve thought too, but they didn’t. They asked me the pregnancy question after they felt my toe and asked me questions on pain and when it happened 💀
