Omggg my dad did that to me when I was like a freshman in highschool. Turns out he had a whole wife and kid before my mom.

Not the same at all but my mom told me about her previous engagement when I was 12ish and how she had already bought her wedding dress… so then she used it to marry my dad. Funny enough it has shamrocks in the lace and the first man wasn’t Irish but my dad is!
