Can we acknowledge how feminism CAN be toxic? I saw a TikTok about how women who choose to have kids are stupid and playing into the patriarchy. Same with women being religious. The beauty of feminism is uplifting women regardless of the paths they walk

Feminism is ALSO holding women accountable for their wrongs. I couldn’t fit that all into my post but feminism should uplift women but also NOT excuse any horrid behavior

Do I want kids right? No, I do not. That doesn’t mean it’s okay for me to shit on people that decided to have kids. There is not one way to live life.

It sucks! A woman’s worth shouldn’t be determined by if she has kids or not… or her religious status. I feel like some people go so far left they end up on the right! If that makes sense

it makes perfect sense they end up becoming a different form of the person they claim to despise. I feel like true feminism is much rarer than we think

I don’t think there’s a proper term for it, but you’re definitely right that it’s toxic. Performative feminism or fake feminism sounds good to me. But feminism itself (as it should be) can’t be toxic because it uplifts and allows women to make their own choices without societal pressure or influence based on their gender.
